I don't recommend this product for new users.
However, be aware of the following (from Quicken's site):
A membership can only be extended in the last six months of a subscription term. You can extend a subscription term by redeeming an activation code in a retail copy. However, this also can only be done in the last six months of your current subscription term. Therefore, multiple terms cannot be purchased and used at once to extend a membership.
Retail purchases: Activation codes are good for one year after purchase.
I don't see how Quicken would know when you bought your subscription from Newegg. So, if I had more than 6 months remaining on my existing subscription, I'd save my proof of purchase in case I needed Quicken support help with activation.

I had bought like 3 copies a few years back for like $21 each. Timed it so I could renew 6 months before renewal date. The only thing I was concerned about was that the copies key might expired but they were all good.
FYI, I had also got upset when they went to a subscription model but after finding quite a few deficiencies with Tiller, Google Sheetz alternative and then finding out it costs like $59/year to renew, I figure Quicken Deluxe wasn't too bad. With the added revenue, they have been trying to do regular updates.
I've been using Quicken 2016 deluxe since 2016. I think 2017 was the last version before they became subscription based.
A coder created a script that allows for manually downloading transactions into quicken from my bank so it works as well as the subscription.
For those interested in a non subscription based alternative, I've used moneyspire in the past. Not as good as quicken's interface and I didn't like how it handled checks (perhaps the main feature that quicken has that a lot of others do not) but it is a competent alternative.
Does anyone know if upgrading a Deluxe install with a Premier code will instantly convert to Premier (given the instant downgrade when doing the reverse)?
I'm guessing they mail a code because sending an electronic code is generally for new installs only--probably part of their licensing deal.

It appears to analyze allocations for me. Sometimes it puts the fund in the wrong category. When that happens, I change it manually.
Common problem, resulting from Quicken going to a subscription model no longer supporting a Quicken ID. Found several posts on the Quicken Community Forum recommending maneuvers from installing patches, manually moving files, installing while disconnected from internet, etc. Hate subscriptions -a couple more recommended fixes I'll try, but looking like I'll be needing this SlickDeal.
Don't know why I posted this story here, just frustration I guess... LOL.

That having been said, every so often there is a big glitch in the downloading for a certain financial institute, and their forums are full of people crying for fixes. But many of them do end up getting fixed, though sometimes it takes months.
This is a good price for a yearly subscription, so I'm biting. I check my finances almost daily, so it's literally $0.09 / day.
