I track zenni prices. They stay consistent through the year. The deal is one of the rare times they do go on sale.
Probably raised prices 40% before the sale. I will say though that their stuff works and is way cheaper than any brick and mortar store.

Imo Eyebuydirect has more variety for smaller faces, without having to step down to kids sizes which have shorter temples.

Isn't zenni optical used to be cheaper?
Yeah, I remember $20 frames and lens from Zenni when they were a new company. Their frame selections was larger too. I bought a few; most of them were crappy plastic like the quality of reading glasses from Dollar Store.

I love Zenni! We've been wearing them for years. I just placed an order for a new pair of progressives and a mid range pair. Way cheaper than Lenscrafters even with our insurance and a better selection of lenses, I like bright fun colors. The 30% was awesome to have, perfect timing!

they have phone apps to help figure out your PD if you are having issues measuring it yourself in a mirror.
Rather than the approximate methods, I wanted to know my PD exactly, so I went to some third-party provider and paid for them to do it (My medical provider wouldn't do it, as they wanted control over the prescription and subsequent profit off of super expensive frames). For $80, a Lens Crafters type place gave me a fresh prescription with the PD. I also asked them to include a separate prescription for "computer glasses" as I spend a lot of time needing that focal length.

Highly recommended way of getting an accurate PD and prescription. And the PD doesn't change.

Pretty sure that is illegal, per federal law. You own ALL of your prescription, you paid for it. The PD is part of the prescription and your medical data. I'd call those people again and say you're gonna make a federal consumer protection complaint and see where that gets you.

That said... I got my PD from the little read outs from that machine the measures eye Rx (the one you look at the little tree image thing until it focuses) that the optician tech left on the table for the eye doctor...While I was alone in the room waiting for the eye doctor, I just took a picture of it LMAO
