Yup! After you pay the 99 cents, you'll be taken to an add-on page and that's where you add the Disney+ subscription for $2.

How much is the HBO Max add-on for a new account? I was about to let my current Hulu with ads & Disney without ads bundle from last year go up to $11.64, with the $7 Amex offer on my new card that would bring it down to $4.64 a month. But I'd much rather have HBO than D+. It would be great if a Hulu & Max bundle just went over the $9.99 minimum for the Amex discount.
The Max add-on was same price as Max regular rate if you book it directly through Max. I was billed $17.98 first month for Hulu, Disney, & Max - and $18.98 after (not sure why the dollar dif).

There's no extra savings for adding on Max - it only adds value to me because the charge will show up as Hulu not Max, making it eligible for the Amex Platinum streaming credit (they won't reimburse a Max charge). I would keep your current bundle if you can,.

HULU newbie here. Their website says "unlimited DVR". Is that different from a regular DVR? I am able to zap through commercials on my DVR. Wouldn't Hulu shows be the same?
I'm not sure since I never watch Hulu on Hulu. Always use EnjoyMoviesYourWay... I'd expect Hulu to not allow you to bypass commercials with dvr though.

I absolutely hated the advertisements. This was like AT&T for me.

Hmm. I wonder if there's a filter I need to add. That's how I set up my partner's account and she always gets ads from Hulu.

don't add sdisney plus. Disney plus ends next month and will be replaced by a combined Hulu/Disney plus service. If you opt for the add on now, you'll be paying for an add on that no longer exists and if you cancel it, you also cancel the hulu promo price.
Disney is absolutely not going to continue charging you for a service that they don't offer anymore so I wouldn't worry too much about this.

Just a data point regarding reusing credit cards, since there was some discussion in previous years whether you need just a new email or also a new card...

I switched cards out a couple weeks ago on the discount subscription that started Black Friday 2022 and ending this week. So for this new subscription when I used the card I had been using for the last few months, it worked fine.

Not sure if switching out the card in the previous subscription did the trick but either way old card was charged with new subscription.

This is more important for people who need to reuse the same card for whatever reason, like for cards that reimburse streaming fees based on monthly charge.

I see this as renewing my Hulu for another year for an extra $1 (which I expected to be the sale price this year on its own) and getting Disney+ as a bonus.

Viewer pay THEM to watch ads. While THEY collect millions from advertising companies to show viewers their ads. THEY make money from the viewers AND the advertising companies. Genius.

THEY should be in the White House and Congress. Country's deficit would be resolved in no time.
I don't know why people complain about this. It's not like this is new, people used to pay a boatload a month for cable TV, and guess what? They had ads/commercials.

If you don't want ads then pay for the no ad options. If other people are ok with ads at a lower price point, so be it. Pay for what you want. It's not like they're hiding this information from anyone.

how bad is the experience with ads? lilke regular network TV?
Much worse. Ads for a lot of the shows run every 90 to 120 seconds of programming, still not giving Hulu $7 extra bucks for ad free though

Just change your email. If you have gmail, you can do yourname@gmail+1.com. Your get the emails sent to your normal account, but Hulu will see it as a new email/user.
Still won't work. I created a new account with a different email address, but it still won't process for some reason.

Edit: Deleted all browser cookies and then it worked. Thanks, op!
