For those having trouble seeing the deal...

If you are an active subscriber / canceled within the past 30 days, then you'll need to logout and create a new account.

Yup! After you pay the 99 cents, you'll be taken to an add-on page and that's where you add the Disney+ subscription for $2.

I wasn't sure how long ago former subscribers had to have canceled to qualify for this deal, so I went with 90+ days to be safe, which ended up being almost 120 days, for me. So, I guess I way over shot it. Gave me time to catch up on Netflix.

I was paying full price at this point, though, after getting Hulu on a previous year's deal. The extra $2 for Disney+ is cheap enough to get me actually interested in it, even though I'm not interested in any of the kids' genres.

If we take the 99¢ Hulu, plus the $2 Disney+ add-on deal, can and we still remove the $2 Disney+ and-on before the year is up and keep the 99¢ Hulu price (for the rest of the year)? Or do they become bundled?

edit: I take that back about the kids' genres, since Disney+ has all 5 seasons of the original Muppet Show, which is reason enough to subscribe. Though, is that *really* a kid's show? 😉

Better than paying $50 a month with cable to watch stuff with ads
Yeah, that's why I never had cable either.

That works for me, but I'd like to add Disney+ on to it. How do I do that?

Edit: Never mind, I just saw someone else's comment that answered that.

Only on the Hulu side. You can't get a cheap Disney+ ad-free add-on anymore like last year...

Hulu is hot garbage. Disney+ has been steadily improving with time. I refuse to watch anything with ads.

Look what these idiots did. I did the black friday deal last year on 11/24. I later added a gift card. Since the gift card had an amount not evenly divisible by the monthly price I was paying, they CHANGED my charge date to the 11th of the month and then charged me full price on 11/11 even though it hadn't been a full year.

So by using a gift card I was screwed out of a month of the $2 from last year and I am out $7 extra without me realizing they were doing it.
Yup, my gift card changed my end date, they prorated the month the card was used up & went to my credit card, so when I canceled a few weeks ago, I did not get offered the 'how about this discount' deal. No biggie but I lost my disney no ads option.

I do not recommend using gift cards.

I have an existing Hulu plan (ads) with the Disney plus add-on (no ads). My new subscirption will renew at $11.64 and I have the AmEx offer of $7 credit for bundled plans of $9.99 or more. My exisiting plan isn't bundled, but an add-on. Does anyone know if I will still get the statment credit? Or do I need to use the AmEx link and sign up for the Huly/Disney Bundled plan using that webiste? Sorry, this post is so long. Thanks in advance for your response!
This is the exact thing I'm doing. From reading through the fine print on the Amex site, as long as the package is over $9.99 a month and is billed directly through Hulu or Disney, it should qualify. But I'm not 100% certain on this. It also days that the $7 credit could take up to 8 weeks to start appearing on your statement, so i wouldn't be surprised if I end up paying $11.64 for the first month.

Had the D+ (no ads) and $1.99/month Hulu (w/ads) from last year. Canceled that account and got offered $2.99/month Hulu for 6 months but still canceled. Then signed up for this deal with a new account and realized it was D+ (w/ads). Finished sign up on new account for $3.18/month for Hulu and D+ (w/ads). Paused this new subscription for 12 weeks which is the max. Went back to old account, re-started subscription, and then attempted to cancel again. This time, I chose to keep the subscription at the $2.99/month plan for six months.

It's worth the extra few bucks a month to continue having D+ (no ads) for another six months. I set a reminder to re-pause my new account in March for an additional one month and then set another reminder to re-cancel old account in April when the six month promo ends. So I'll pay $6.35/month through April on old account (Hulu ads, D+ no ads) then pay $3.18/month on new account (Hulu ads, D+ ads).
Does pausing it stop them from billing you? And does pausing it further extend the new account expiration date?
