Thank you for posting. I've been looking at Dirac Live for a while. Currently running Audyssey. How does it compare? Is it really a worthy upgrade?
I also see multiple products in their website. I understand the difference between the stereo and multi channel but are the other two needed for a full experience or if the basic room correction enough?
I purchased the unlimited bandwidth license for $244 after tax. You'll need a calibration mic to run Dirac from a standalone PC like they recommend. I picked up a Dayton Audio UMM-6 from Parts Express for $77 after taxes and shipping. We'll see what happens.

Depends who you ask.
Dirac Live RC only applies to your loudspeakers, there is no sub/bass RC integration with it.
Dirac Live Bass Control applies to subwoofer(s) AND bass between sub and loudspeaker integration.
Proper bass integration is crucial in an optimal setup imo.
Denon/Marantz is scheduled to get DLBC option added some time this coming year.

Will there be an additional cost if I buy the full version now?

Assuming you're talking about DL & DLBC, short answer yes.
Dirac separates their integration RC's, loudspeakers(DL) and subwoofer(s)AND overall bass(DLBC)
They have never included DLBC, always been an extra purchase.
They usually have a sale around this time.
You keep hearing that Dirac is great, I agree they BOTH are.
To have the great everyone keeps mentioning. With this sale it saves you over $100!

850 before discount is absurd for a non commercial software solution. Totally obscene. You want Dirac you pay a lot. Oh you don't listen in 2.0 stereo? That'll be extra. Oooh you have a sub? Extra. 2 subs? More extra. I gotta think it'll be standard feature for some denon models eventually like with onkyo. Bass maybe will be longer.

Why did you go with this mic instead of the suggested umk1?
Does anyone know their return policy if you are unhappy with the results? I wouldn't mind trying it out, but I'm not confident it will beat Audyssey MultiEQ X32 with the $20 app on my Denon AVR -X800H, given that there is no subwoofer correction with Dirac on this AVR and I'm unlikely to want to pay $850 for Dirac full + DLBC for dual sub woofers (even with a 30% discount) should that feature become available next year.
