Thanks. This is precisely the system I've been stalking, and Lenovo's up-and-down prices are enough to drive you crazy. I'd just checked the pricing 3 hours ago and it was a couple of hundred dollars more.


Here's what you can get with the single-use first-time buyer coupon (not hard to get, just use a new email address to get the coupon), and the IDme discount for students, teachers, seniors, military (if eligible):

- 1,809.01 eCoupon Savings
- 220.00 Loyalty Savings
- 50.00 Cart Threshold Savings (that's the single-use coupon)

If you have an AmEx offer, you can save even more.

What I don't know is whether stacking the additional $50 coupon invalidates the cashback you get from affiliate sites like SD (and others). Terms typically say that use of coupon/promotional codes not listed on the affiliate site "may" void Cash Back.

This is a good deal. However if the deal is repeated on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, it could get better. Lenovo's maximum cashback should be on Cyber Monday, and could be double what you see today.

Funny they call this doorbuster deal. In October Lenovo sold it for $1189 and again via eBay for $1124. Black Friday should have better price on it - if I were to guess.

Entirely depends on your part and assembly complexity but I've never found SolidWorks truly usable on an iGPU due to those limitations. There are comparably priced options with T550/A500 that are still quite thin and light but just not as much as a X1 Carbon. HP Zbook Firefly 14 and Lenovo P14s for example.
