Why would you get the i5 version over this deal? I did my own comparison analysis, and found that there's tradeoffs between the two versions. See below for details.
Comparison Analysis of Dell Inspiron 3520 (Intel) vs. 3535 (AMD)
Processor
3520: Features the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1235U with 10 cores, 12 threads, and up to 4.40 GHz Turbo.
3535: Equipped with the AMD Ryzen™ 5 7530U, a 6-core 12-thread processor.
Analysis: The AMD Ryzen™ 5 7530U in the 3535 delivers faster performance according to benchmarks [cpubenchmark.net], and it is expected to offer better battery life.
Graphics
3520: Utilizes Intel® UHD Graphics.
3535: Comes with AMD Radeon™ Graphics.
Analysis: AMD Radeon™ Graphics in the 3535 is better.
Memory
3520: Offers 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) of DDR4 memory at 2666 MT/s.
3535: Also provides 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) but at a faster 3200 MT/s.
Analysis: The 3535 has marginally better memory speed, which might not be a significant factor if planning to upgrade memory.
Storage
3520: Includes a 256 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
3535: Doubles the storage with a 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Analysis: The 3535 offers more storage.
Display
3520: Features a 15.6" FHD 1920x1080 display with a higher refresh rate of 120Hz, WVA, Non-Touch, Anti-Glare, 250 nit, and a Narrow Border LED-Backlit screen.
3535: Also has a 15.6" FHD 1920x1080 display but with a 60Hz refresh rate, WVA, Touchscreen, Anti-Glare, and Narrow Border LED-Backlit screen.
Analysis: The 3520 offers a higher refresh rate, ideal for smoother visuals, whereas the 3535 provides touchscreen functionality.
Wireless Connectivity
3520: Equipped with the Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (2x2, 802.11ax) and Bluetooth®.
3535: Comes with Realtek Wi-Fi 5 RTL8821CE (1x1, 802.11ac, MU-MIMO) and Bluetooth®.
Analysis: The 3520's Intel wireless card is superior, offering better connectivity and speed. Also supports Wi-Fi 6. However, just like the memory and storage, this is also upgradeable.
In summary, the Dell Inspiron 3535 (AMD) excels in CPU performance, graphics, memory speed, and storage capacity, while the 3520 (Intel) has advantages in display refresh rate and wireless connectivity. Your choice may depend on what aspects are most critical for your usage, such as gaming, multitasking, or general productivity (e.g., the 3535 comes equipped with a touchscreen).
FWIW, I got the Intel 3520 from the last deal, but I'm not sure if it was the better purchase overall. Feel free to add anything I may have missed.

I can't return it but will try to use warranty to get it fixed, if they do fix it.
cap lock light turns on, power indicate on side keeps blinking white and orange ... doesn't turn on or make any sound. I have tried charging it for long and using different power outlet.
I got it in similar deal last month.
Not saying it will happen to everyone but I got unlucky.
You can press the power button until the laptop powers off. It should power on normally after that.
My permanent fix was changing the PCIe Express setting in the power plan from "maximum power savings" to "moderate power savings".
Edit: The manual linked in the above comment should be useful. I had no idea there were diagnostic codes for the LED pattern.

buyer beware
I placed an order for the Inspiron 15 Laptop with the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1235U at the same price. This version has 12 MB cache, 10 cores, 12 threads, and a Turbo boost up to 4.40 GHz. My primary use for this laptop will involve browsing, working on Excel/Word, handling emails, and simultaneous activities like listening to Spotify or watching YouTube TV. I believe the additional 4 cores in this Intel version might better suit my needs compared to the Ryzen 5 7530U 6-core.
What do you think? If the Ryzen version better suits my needs, them I'm considering returning the Intel version I ordered and getting this alternative. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

I am afraid of opening it myself, to void warranty, for this reason I didn't upgrade the memory as well till now.

So this laptop is more than enough for a regular computer as long as you don't need an nvidia graphics card and gaming?
You can connect 2 external monitors to it? How much is the battery life since it's only 41hr. I assume 2 hours or so?
