Depends if you want something cool white like 6000 which is too blue for me and 4000 is warm/yellow so that's ugly. 5000K is nice and white and if it has high CRI then it won't appear to change the colors of the subject.

I have this flashlight and love it! To those considering buying: you can also purchase their 18650 aluminum tube (and 18650 battery if you don't already have one). It fits perfectly on this model and will double the runtime!

Why does the tint matter?

If someone is interested in "spot sizes", here is a good post with pictures from different flashlights: https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlig...man_wuben/

Because it determines what you see and how it is seen. Cheap lights usually have 6000k and above which is quite harsh and almost blue. The warm yellow lights inside your house are 3,000k. The lower the number the more yellow/red while the higher the number the bluer they are. I personally prefer 4,000k flashlights with high CRI.

Would this be a good deal for 5000k @ $27.99 https://wurkkos.com/products/wurk...ght-3500lm
it's $37 grand total after applying 40% off coupon on Amazon

Can't go wrong with the ts21. Here is the review from the flashlight super nerds at the blf forums

I am not some sort of flashlight "enthusiast" but bought this light via slickdeals a little while ago and was blown away with how bright it is and all of the nifty features it has for the money. It's ridiculous how bright it can get, but it also can fade down to a very minimal light when needed.

Throw really matters! I have this and it is great quality, but I don't use it much. Was my first nice flashlight purchase and I learned I don't care for spotlights. My use case is walking in deep woods, and for this a floodlight is a lot more useful.
