Controller warranty is 90 days (might be 1 year for the one that is included with the system). It is based on your your purchase date on the receipt. I only buy controllers from Walmart because their 3 year warranty is so cheap.

You post this same thing every single Xbox controller post. Move on.

Unfortunately, censoring discussion of the topic will not resolve the issue. It's a well established fact that these controllers have an almost eventual drift issue. The only way to "move on" is for a major hardware revision to take place.

I picked up an elite 2 for $90 on Nov 1st. Unsure if it's even worth that. All of the poor reviews have me nervous

I've got 3 of the robot white Xbox One controllers from the old $30 Costco online deal.

Can I just say though I find this Elite version ultra sexy? I just love the black color.

Yeah...BUT I actually agree with this dude and think his 🧌 ng is appropriate here, at the very least as a warning if not for providing some sense of/way to complain..
.I have so many of these fkin controller and the sticks always eventually go and/or the audio ports. They are great controllers but at 40 bucks a pop on sale, it's absolute BS that they aren't better quality. I heard at some point there was gonna be a class action but who knows. I'll keep buying these stupid things and one of these days I'll solder in new thumbstick components if I ever get around to it ....I have probably 14 broken controllers and 5 that work from like the last five years, so that's about 4 per year we go through (have 3 kids and we all play)....and some of them went really fast with barely any use, within month or two so it's not from hard use. So yeah, I agree with this dude and Xbox made a newer design a while back and the sticks still suck and they know it, so yeah basically fk them for that man
I'm with you on this. I started off with the white controller and it eventually got drift in the right stick. Then I got a black. Eventually the same issue. I've had the red for a while now and it hasn't caused an issue yet but given my experience with the first two, I'm not holding out much hope.

Is this the "Core" version or does it include extra accessories? I didn't see notice of what it includes.

Edit: I found it under the specs. Looks like it does include the extras.

Not a deal for elite controller. Was better to use target circle offers earlier this month and buy 2 elite controllers. It was $80ish per controller after tax. I missed out.

Come on $29 need my once a year new XB controller. My others are getting lonely.
Still half of what I paid to replace two of my PS5 controllers with stick drift. Now I got warranties on them and they will definitely be replaced before that runs out.

I got the elite series 2 during the previous verizon deal. I ended up returning it. There seems to be a common issue (out of box) with the left joystick click function (referred to as LS or L3). This button is commonly used to sprint in various FPS games like Call of Duty. The LS/L3 works just fine when you click when the left joystick is centered but if you move the joystick to the outer edges and try to click, it's inconsistent and feels awful. The worst are the corners (ie. UpRight, UpLeft). Regular xbox / playstation controllers work great when it comes to this. I truly believe it's a design flaw due to the addition of joystick tension adjust feature on the elite series 2.

For those who are interested in fixing stick drift yourself, you can order the components from E**y for just a couple bucks or so and then there are videos out there to walk you through removing the old part and soldering in the new part....I ordered a pack of 12 new thumbstick components and have not gotten around to doing this myself yet, since it looks like it will take a little bit of work. I have a box of controllers (mostly special editions - Gears of War and Minecraft, etc) that I hope to replace the broken sticks on and then hopefully won't have to buy new ones for a while.

Is this the Xbox core controller? If so I have the robot white and it's been solid last 2 years for me. I got some eneloop rechargeable batteries from Amazon for it and it's working great
