Not a good deal… normal deal for Yubikey should be 2 keys for around $45-50…… that's equal to 50% off or B1G1 free……

TONS of 2fa keys/dongles as well as cell phone 2fa generators

https://www.dongleauth.com/dongles/
https://www.kaspersky.com/blog/be...022/43261/

Keep in mind. You lose the 2fa dongle or phone without having a backup way to get into your accounts = you're totally screwed.

So most people buy 2+ dongles and store 1 offsite.

Or backup their phones and 2fa app completely.

lol Google is one of the many reasons that information needs to be secured. They are already too invasive.

Any other vendors offer SW Apps to support their keys on a Mac? Eg. Yubico offers Yubikey Manager and Yubico Authenticator Apps. And you can download a command ykman (yubikey manager) to help manage the keys.

Anything for Google's new Titan keys? At least to list and maybe delete a no longer used a discoverable credentials? 250 is a good size.

I use a TOTP generator. Where do I use these keys considering my accounts on my computer are always logged in with the exception of banks and banks notoriously don't support anything other than SMS 2FA

Authy is free and can be restored from another phone if you lose it.

Last time that deal came up was May 2022, I missed it and waited patiently for BF 2022 for it to pop up again, never did.

This is the first deal in like 18 months on these… is 25% off the best we will get going forward?

This is good because the FIDO protocol is specifically designed around having backups. There is no recovery method. If you lose your primary and only key you're SOL. Hence why you should have at minimum 1 back up key. Highly recommend the 5c series. I program mine for static password. Simply touch and my master password to my password vault unlocks.

i took the yubikey quiz where i said i use an ipad w/lightning (9th gen, iPad 64gb MK2K3LL/A) 80% of the time and an imac 20% of the time. both do not leave the house. would you agree these are the two keys to get? or can i just get two of the less expensive ones and just use a female usb to lightning adaptor for us on the ipad?

I don't know what all ones they offer with lightning (so you might be stuck there) but most people don't need more than their SK series. All the pgp, etc. is very nice on the $50 ones but for the most part people don't use that stuff.

If you have an iOS device then the NFC is much lower friction. You can still use USB with an adapter, but NFC is buttery smooth.

I was going to point that out...Buy a minimum of 2. Keep one on your person. Keep one around the house. Keep another one off-site.

I've been with Cloudflare for years and am also a small paid customer, so I'm pretty sure I would have qualified, but since the message was way before the promo went live, I forgot about it Frown

Can somebody suggest which of the multiple yubikey models is most suitable for home use?
