No. You just have to add the offer to your card online or in the app (if you have the offer) and then simply make a charge to your card that hits the minimum

You shouldn't ask , you should tell. You are correct. Just reread the offer. Seems to be for online. Assuming AMEX can tell the difference between online and in-store purchase
