Tbh buying with Gift cards does save you "money" but you lose extended warranty benefit which some cards have.

One could argue that you could buy AC+ with the money saved which would cover more than an ext warranty through a cc.

Who remembers the Walmart/Apple GC deal from 2/3 years back?

True but depends on the person how often they would need AC+? AC+ has a deductible while extended warranty does not?

Have you tried using the credit card extended warranty? I did a claim once and it was a lot of hoops to jump through, they don't make it super easy on purpose. Not sure how it compares to these other warranties as far as coverage and claim process. Also I think my card offers extended warranty as long as part of the purchase was on the credit card so like even if only $1 was on the credit card you're covered.

Hmm, trying to figure out how to stack them to get the Amex $25 off bonus too
You don't need to stack. Per the terms of the offer, you can reach the $250 "in one or more transactions" so you can make separate purchases to get to $250 and you'll get the $25 back.

Apple GC sucks, if u redeem to ur apple account balance, it won't let u use balance to buy hardware (even their term said it is ok) , payment processing will fail;

If u don't redeem and wait until u need to buy or use in store, a lot of cards # will be stolen become $0 especially those u buy from target , grocery store
Sitting on tons of gift cards is probably a bad strategy generally, especially the last couple years. For instance if you bought the $200 gift cards from the Walmart deal 2 years ago, they are 11% less valuable now due to inflation.

I bought a lot of Apple gift cards that day… I still have a few hundred dollars in my account. Good times 😂
Same here! I haven't seen anything like it since.

As someone who doesn't purchase from Best Buy regularly, what would be a great use for a $15 BB gift card?

If you cannot purchase hardware with your account balance, your account is restricted. Apple Support can review and remove the restriction.

While the Best Buy gift card deal is fine for immediate use, it lacks the convenience of storing card balances in your account like Apple, Target, or Amazon do. With Best Buy, you must remember the details and balances of your cards. Users have pointed out the ease of having balances sit in an account, ready for use even after 2-3 years, unlike Best Buy where you risk forgetting and losing the card's value. A $15 or $30 gift card may not be very significant, especially for higher-priced items

You need to add your Apple account balance to your wallet app on your phone. Once it shows up in there as a "card" you can use it to buy hardware. They don't really tell you this, and when I had the payment processing failed issue it took some escalation before someone at Apple told me to do this.
