Where do you see "a lot" of complaints about lack of power? I see 1 review that mentions that on costco.com. There are only 3 reviews total, and the other 2 are 5-star.

It's difficult to find anything on this model -- seems a bit of a odd model. MX-ST50B is everywhere, but "C" is a rare find. Could "C" be a Costco-exclusive model of the 50B?

That's what it looks like. Maybe minor differences like 210/240w

Read the reviews on this one and all the very similar variations Samsung sells. This one at least has a microphone jack.

Bought one. I've got a JBL Partybox 300 that I love but can always use a backup portable speaker!

If it sucks, I can always easily return to Costco. For $100, it's worth a shot.

Yes, this is an exclusive Costco model and is supposedly the same or very similar to the ST50B. Costco has that exclusivity with a few different brands/models.

Great price. I replaced a JBL PartyBox 100 with the MX-ST50B and love it for outdoor movies. Gets plenty loud and I like the way the speaker cone arrangement spreads the sound if you only have one speaker. The app is not great but it works. I also like that it has deferent EQ modes. My only complaint is there is no battery life indicator on the speaker.

Hot garbage. I bought two when they were on sale because I wanted to pair them. The app is awful, couldn't get them to pair ever. So I couldn't get but one speaker to work at a time. If all you want it for is to connect it to Bluetooth for a single speaker then at this price it's decent

Haven't listened to the Samsung, and have had Gig XXL for a week now, and it bangs! Very clear sound for a large speaker, full range, good bass and clear treble. Would highly reccomend.
