Just a heads up, these are not compatible with Samsung fridges that use the HAF-QIN model filters. They're similar, but the CIN model is rounder and the QIN is more square-ish. As of right now there are no HAF-QINs on Costco's website, though they have had the 4-pack in the past. Make sure you check your fridge model before buying!

Thanks this is slick! I missed out the last time this was on sale as it was OOS. I ended up having to pay $29 with Amazon S&S.

Any opinion on these vs generics? I've only been using genuine ones for the last year but the generics price is compelling.

I don't know about you, but I cannot trust a generic filter filtering out what it says it filters. When it comes to this, I'll pay more to use a filter I know is doing its job.

You can search the generics to see if they faked NSF certification or not. I've used generics just fine for years, water quality tastes similar to Samsung but I haven't had it tested. My city water is tested though and it's pretty good, this is mostly to remove any off flavors in the water/ice honestly.

Wish they had the HAF-QIN filter too…no clue why they can't just stick with one filter design to simplify consumers' lives

Yeah, just checked mine is QIN, When they had both models on sale in the past (May 22nd, 2022) the price was $80.

Generic has lower rating & missing two certifications. Forgot which ones but I posted them before. Made in Korea or Made in China. You decide.

I have already returned a couple of lower-cost filters for my Frigidaire which I got from Amazon. Even the lower cost ones aren't that inexpensive. I'm wondering if it's better to just find an inline filter and filter the water before it gets to the fridge and save the trouble. Does anyone have experience with that?

Unfortunately like many others I need QIN which rarely goes on sale and Costco doesn't even seem to stock it regularly because the product page is always gone until it isn't.

Thanks, almost bought the wrong ones, I only took a quick look and it seemed like they were the same.

Bold of them to assume anyone will have a Samsung fridge long enough to go through 4 filters.

Misguided post. Quit worrying about the brand. When it comes to fridges you need to avoid through the door ice. That is the single highest failure rate item on a fridge. You go with a fridge that has ice in the freezer and nothing though the door you reduce your failure rates to the single digits. That goes for pretty much any brand. At that point shop by model not by brand.

Samsung deserves the criticism for how they have handled their through the door ice issues but all the brands suck now when it comes to that one single feature. Avoid it at all costs.
