I will NEVER EVER EVER buy Rayovac batteries again....way too many leaky ones that ruined electronics (door locks, garage door openers, firestick remotes, wii controllers, about anything you can imagine).... Horrible batteries. I thought I would miss them too but what I won't miss is leaky battery acid everywhere...

I always stock up on the 60-pack rayovac every BF from HD. leak rate no worse than any other brand for me, must be lucky i guess.
Is it cheaper to buy rechargeable batteries with the charger compared to buying these? I been using energizer max or duracell but back then I would use rechargeable batteries.

if you have the discipline of charging it on time and having it available when you need 'em... sure. i have rechargeables but I end up almost never using them because the overhead of managing charging schedule is just not worth it.

I use and invest heavily into rechargeable batteries and recommend their use for anything that eats batteries like kids toys, home Panasonic cordless phones, and most other devices that take AA and AAA but when it comes to low discharge devices like smoke detectors with battery backup its recommended to use regular alkaline batteries like these as the smoke detectors chirp if you use rechargeable ones. I have both the 10-year "lifetime" smoke detectors(no wiring in an older house), a wired with AA battery backup and even a fancy "smart home" wired one.
