I would say s5 can compete sony a73, picture wise out standing! Video is great, color science is great, but it lacks in autofocus,if you handle af then its a gem of its segment.
Note : 4k video on higher framers are cropped to apsc.
Personally i prefer lumix over sony for color science.
96 with pixel shift. That's good for stationary scenes where things don't move.

quite an achievement actually. since the S5 mark 2 did receive pdaf, this maybe going in history with this title. worth getting it just for the bragging rights.

All I know is I shoot around the ocean sometimes, and my my 50mm 1.4 and 70-300mm lenses could use a cleaning as there is a lot of moisture in the air. Despite this, they produce extremely sharp photos. The 50mm 1.4 is basically flawless in terms of image quality, and I shoot on an s1r. So personally, I don't see a reason to check as even if there is some residue I would never part with these two lenses, I would just be stressing myself out knowing there's weird crap inside of them.
His comment is 100% accurate. The S5 lacks in the autofocus department. As in it has AF, and it lacks in performance.
Again, his comment is correct. You shoot stationary subjects with high res mode. I would like to see you try it on birds flying...
