Just for those who don't know, Coach is one of those companies that make products especially for their outlet. Sometimes it can be very hard to tell what is real and what is the in-house knock off. I got a coach wallet as a gift years ago. It sells for 150 on their main site and 60 on their outlet site. EXCEPT it is not the same wallet. Same name, similar pictures, but one is much heavier and better made. They make you think you are getting a better deal when in fact you are getting a different product.

Well, yes. I don't much care what other people think of my wallet, but if I want to buy a cheap, knockoff I have lots of options and can get one for less than Coach outlet is selling them. I think it matters when shops try to trick you into buying an imitation product. You don't?

Just for those who don't know, Coach is one of those companies that make products especially for their outlet. Sometimes it can be very hard to tell what is real and what is the in-house knock off. I got a coach wallet as a gift years ago. It sells for 150 on their main site and 60 on their outlet site. EXCEPT it is not the same wallet. Same name, similar pictures, but one is much heavier and better made. They make you think you are getting a better deal when in fact you are getting a different product.

Good to know. I suspect people buying this aren't interested in the quality of the item as much as the five letters and logo printed on it.

Almost all the companies who has outlets stores does this, MK, J-crew, coach, ralph lauren etc. However Saks and Nordstrom has somewhat different inventory method and their outlets store sometimes will have items from the retail store when it's time to get rid of them.
