I think the 955 is the current sweet spot. Killer battery life because it uses the old style screen, which is always on and easy to read in bright light (making it superior IMO). Most of the features of the Fenix series, but cheaper, more discreet, and lighter weight.

I've had my 955 for a year. Been fantastic. Only "negative" is real battery life is about 27-28 hours of GPS, but still lasted my entire 100 miler this fall.

Depends where you live and what you do. I love having a barometer on my 955 as I can tell what elevation I'm at without starting an activity. I live in CO though so it's more relevant than when we were in IL and it's flat.

Ok, I figured it out. This discount pricing is still valid (I ordered a moment ago), but, to see the discounted prices in your cart and on check out, you need to click through your health plan's web site, which saves the the cookie necessary to make these prices valid. Participating providers include Blue Cross Blue Shield and Kaiser (look for Kaiser's ChooseHealthy link), among others.

One more follow up to the above…. When you click through your health providers web site, it may send you to a page with a bunch of older Garmin models. Ignore that page and browse to the rest of the Garmin web site, where all watches should be 20% off.
