Seems weird that they would offer an Core i9 version and 32 GB RAM when Dell website doesn't offer a core i9 version for the G15.

But since it is Costco, none of the Dell coupons, CC offers and Dell rewards are not provided through by this laptop. Definitely a customized model for Costco members and it has all the topline specs. I am thinking about returning my current Dell order and purchasing this one since I was going to upgrade the RAM anyways from 16 GB to 32 GB so the price difference isn't that much.

Yea, I don't understand why they keep making G15 when the G16 is out. What is the benefit of a 15.6" screen over 16"?

Personally I like the numpad on the G15 so I would much rather get that than the G16 and plus the negligible weight difference. Also on the Dell website for some reason they don't offer the Core i9 as an option even though the G15 owners manual has the Core i9 as an option. I currently have a 17.3 inch Dell laptop from 11 years ago and it is heavy as heck. Basically the Costco build has the most spec out G15 available offering a Core i9 chip which you can't find on the Dell website that has a solid price.

Essentially the G15 and G16 have the same build for 90% of its parts except for the keyboard and the USB-C port is thunderbolt capable with the G16 and the G16 is able to upgrade to a Geforce RTX 4070 card. It also seems like even though the screen size is only 0.4 inches difference the G16 offers 2560x1600 (QHD+) display sizes whereas the G15 displays are limited to 1920x1080 (FHD) variants. I mean for a small display, I am not sure the larger display sizes make a big difference. If anything the refresh rate is more important than the resolution size especially if it means that the battery life is better with the FHD display variants.

Took the leap and bought one. Got 5% off from using my Chase Freedom card and this is the most specced out G15 available. Like that it comes with a free 2nd year warranty and upgraded keyboard that you can't get on the Dell website. Only crappy part is not being able to stack the Dell coupons.

This seems like a genuinely slick deal. Similar price to the recent Costco HP Victus 16" price (was $1000), but with an i9 instead of i7. If I hadn't already purchased that I'd be going for this.
