Looks like a good deal... Is this the better choice over the max g30?

While I know it's not recommended, would this be suitable for an 8yo ?

It's a newer version of the max g30 but its 2 inches shorter. Trade off is that the battery is 2/3 of the max g30 so the range is also 2/3 but it weighs less and is a bit more portable. I would not recommend this for an 8 year old but any adults would find this scooter to be a ton of fun. It's also super popular for scooter rental companies so parts for this scooter are cheap if anything breaks.

This is a great deal, and a much better scooter than the more recently released Segway commuter models. The original black G30 has better range and looks better in my opinion, but both are durable work horses with good range.

Does it have enough platform length to keep both legs on them comfortably? It looks awfully short.

It has 3 different modes that can make it feel more controllable for your 8 year old. My kid just turned 10 and he's been riding it for about 4 months. He got started on the ECO mode and now is running at full speed. I will say that depending on your kid's height, the handle bar will feel tall though and could limit his ability to effectively break. That would be my only concern.

By measuring the tires (10") it looks like the deck is just short of 20" long. Not bad, but I like it longer.

Just got tracking info, Direct signature required. Ordered 12/3, no update on website. Tracking says carrier doesn't have it yet.

Arrived, zero full charges, gen 2 motor, 8 mins on time, 1 min ride time, everything perfect except a dent in the deck. Must have been damaged at the factory. Great deal, thanks OP.
