A food processor will cut the food into chunks of varying size, the blender will convert them into puree

I had this same processor but returned. It chops but doesn't do a good job in mixing, so for food like spinach, you have to constantly use spoon or something to manually push it down towards blade every now and then.

I thought I had everything but didn't think I needed a food processor... Use the blender. But my daughter was over and trying to prepare something and had a hard time doing it. She had a cheap food processor at home which she had to prepare more and said she did it probably 80 percent faster time... Oreo balls...So I'm on the hunt for a food processor

If you are looking for a more cost effective option consider as 4-side grater. (For things like onion, zucchini etc.).

Thanks for posting! Just FYI, it's $15 (not $10 as in post) in Kohl's cash plus $5 for in store pickup. I've been looking at this one for about a week now and this sealed the deal for me. I just hope the 1000w motor can handle vital wheat gluten... My Vitamix has a tough time with it.

Lol @ the orig list price. I bought this from Kohls this last summer for $75, wasn't even on a special.

So I really like this unit. It even chops ice easily. My biggest gripe with it is the container has 90 degree edges on the inside and anything you chop gets stuck in there. Makes it less convenient when getting your food out and cleaning
