If your car has a turbo, these things are great for extra power. They usually only do like 2 sales a year, and this is one of them. These are called piggyback tuning chips, as they dont really modify your car and can be removed in like 15 minutes if need be so you dont void your warranty. The GTS Black version comes with engine warranty to make you feel a little better. These are very popular for BMW and MB, for example my X7 comes with like 380hp and this chip increases power up to about 480hp, 0-60 goes from just under 5sec to just under 4sec... The torque numbers are even higher. Lots of dyno tests show that racechip increases and smooths out both hp and torque curves, so they are doing a good job at tuning.

There are not many NA cars with turbos. Racechip does also have a transmission chip so you can adjust/tune your transmission. I know that a lot of Cadillac drivers love those for their cars, for better gear shifting and response. BMW seems to get the most hp and tq gains as they seem to always limit boost a lot on their turbo vehicles. Also many people are weary of tuning or anything because they dont want to void their warranty, so this is great for those people, even 50extra hp is a pretty big difference, for less than the price of a new smartphone its definitely worth it. The newer BMWs and I am sure other brands as well you can no longer do traditional ecu tuning anymore because the ecus are locked out. Things are getting more locked each and every year. Since this doesnt mess with your ecu, it still works.
These fool some inputs to the ecu and cause a power increase. Better to get a ecu tune. It's pay to play, no free lunch.
