It is a random orbit, dual action polisher. The general consensus is the G9 is a best bet for the weekend warrior and many prefer it to MaxShine M15. Griots has a good reputation for warranty and customer service.

Been wanting one of these, but I know nothing of paint correction and polishing. I'm just worried about burning the clear coat. Any people with on hand experience with this machine here? I heard there's machines that is impossible to burn your clear coat. Is this one of them?
Do not worry. With dual action polishers you will never burn your paint unless you are idiotic enough to polish on one same spot over and over and not moving your buffer around.

With a little technique and a mild compound, you should be able to do several overlapping passes without any degradation to the clear.
