Check replacement battery cost for these. I had 2 Dyson V7. OEM batteries need changed every year, and it costs a lot. Third party batteries are cheaper but don't last… maybe 4-5 months. I threw mine out. Would not use these again.

My v8 dyson battery only died on me once and I had it from 2016. It's running very strong with one battery change. Solid machine and just need to get a right battery.

They updated the battery started at the V10 that don't need to be replaced every couple years. I'm on year 3 and still going strong.

We have a V8 and I was in the same boat. Then I saw that you can buy adapters to use power tool batteries. That saved my V8. Now I use 20V Dewalt batteries on my V8. MAX mode doesn't really work, but battery life in regular mode is way better.

The battery is covered by a 2 year warranty so if your battery is dying every year, you should be paying $0 for the battery replacement. Our Dyson V10 is still going strong coming up on 5 years on the original battery.
