These stopped sealing for me after about a year

I hand wash mine.

No mater what the box says , a super hot dishwasher is bad for a lot of plastics and silicone

I've had my OXO from costco for 3-years now
Still fine

Why?

Did the silicone gasket that wraps around the lid deteriorate or deform?

Did the container deform?

Have you tried cleaning the silicon seal? If so, with what chemical(s)?

Did the locking / seal expansion mechanism quit working?


If the problem is with the gasket - As a last effort to salvage, have you tried lubricating with an H1 (food safe) lubricant?

I've been using various OXO sealed containers for more than 5 years and I've never had a seal failure.

Same with mine… we bought 2 sets… few of them are stuck and can't be fixed… I thought OXO were good brands but disappointed… could return to Costco but won't be fair cuz out of like 20/30 pieces, 5 of them failed and I'm not gonna take things out of all other containers to return them.

I checked these out in the store. Was $39.99. They've definitely updated the mechanism. Now, the top can't be taken apart like the model i have. Also, the button pop was way more satisfying - the version i have would get stuck or would need a very even press to lock the box. If you have it in store, i'd recommend you take a look. The size variations were good too IMO. I might bite. We've not had a issue with the seal not working. We only hand wash though.

Send oxo an email with pics, anything I've ever had issues with they have taken care of.

I bought this set from Costco 3 years ago, haven't had any issues so far.
