I have 2 of these. One has been working great, the other shows a fault condition but seems to work, I called APC and they said the model has been discontinued for several years. So heads up, you may get a several year old battery with limited life if it has been sitting there for years.

Edit - my version was BN650M1 and maybe this is a different version, but it looks identical. Hmph! The support person told me the version was discontinued and therefore could not be replaced under warranty. She didnt say there was a near identical version BVM650M1. On APC website, it is a current model. According to the specs, the only thing different is that the BVM650M1 has no battery door and requires a special tool to open the case. It is not meant to be replaceable.

"APC's online description of the BVN650M1 says it is compatible with a replacement battery. Only after purchase do you find, hidden in the manual, that it is not user replaceable. This is, at best, misleading and is also very disappointing. I purchased an APC unit expecting at least the stated specs to be accurate. Obviously, I was wrong."

How does this compare to the amazon sale today
Liebert PST5 UPS - 850VA/500W 120V for $59.99.

Liebert seems like better for the extra $10

after they merged, office max was gone. they only kept the name office depot.
You are mistaken. ODP continues to operate some retail stores under the OfficeMax brand.

I ordered 2 and they just came in today. I confirmed with the manufacturer that they were manufactured in May 2023, so not old stock and totally acceptable. The manufacturer says the battery is not user replaceable. However, every UPS I've owned, on which I replaced the battery, has required me to 1. use a screwdriver to open it and 2. be knowledgeable about electronics, not touch charged caps, etc. This one is no different.

Yup.. the screw holes are deep but nothing a regular phillips head screwdriver can't handle.

Got mine today, can confirm build 19th week of 2023. So I've got 3 years of warranty. One thing I didn't notice is they no longer have the USB cable that goes to your PC to monitor the device or do a graceful shutdown. Not a big deal but all my previous units has that.

Did you end up getting this? That does seem like a good deal given the capacity, I'm not familiar with that company.

Thank you!

I am seeing two different serial numbers. The one on the sticker from the box is different than the what's shown on the sticker on the actual UPS itself. Are you guys seeing the same?

For example

The serial # from sticker on the box XX2319XX10785 <<< manufactured in 2023 19th week
The serial # from the sticker on the UPS XX2302XX1981 <<< manufactured in 2023 2nd week
