Note that if my prior experience with Photoshop Elements is any indication, you have to log in to your account on Adobe's website to deregister Photoshop Elements on an old computer before activating it on a new computer, and Adobe has a habit of breaking activation after a year or three and not recognizing your product any more.

I have the 2021 version, so take this with a grain of salt, but Adobe definitely nerfs this version compared to the full version. After banging my head against the keyboard for months while hitting dead ends with Photoshop elements, I eventually found photopea which is free and offers a good deal of advanced functionality out of the box. Havent found anything quite as robust for video editing so I still use premiere elements as my go-to for video editing.

I haven't looked into it, but when I upgraded Elements 10 to Elements 2021 I was appalled that virtually nothing had improved in 9 years! It seemed like all the same exact features were there with just a slightly different interface. It felt like a complete rip-off, so do some research if you're just looking for an upgrade. If you don't have anything it's a fine product for this price, though you might try some other alternatives to get a feel for what you want.

You are better off buying the Humble Bundle Corel deal for $30! Absolutely way better software than this! 99% of non professionals would be able to use the Corel software & be very satisfied.

I am upgrading because is only $20 it supposed to have AI added to it. The sale is only on Staples.com for student edition for Black Friday.

I think its rare for disk to come with any software nowadays. You can save the installer.
