The neuro fuzzy logic chip allows the rice cooker to make fine adjustments to temp, time, and pressure to make the perfect rice every time. You can cook rice and keep it in the cooker for 3-4 days. My parents has had theirs for 20 years and it works as good as it did on day one.
I would consider this one of few buy it for life items.

All highend rice cooker models are equiped with dual pressure and IH heating - just upgraded my 10 year old cuckoo to new one and love it.

I bought one 20 years ago - much to the chagrin of my wife, who wondered why I would waste over $100 on a rice cooker. 12 years, and hundreds of rice preps later, I made an error in trying to make porridge in it and damaged it. She required I get a new one as soon as I found one under $200. We still have/use it exclusively for rice. Its consistency and simplicity is a convenience.
*my sister swears by her 10 minute instant pot rice method. I've tasted it. She enjoys her instant pot so I don't tell her that her rice is terrible, and I just take a small serving to be polite.
