Lots of bad reviews for short battery life, and quirky app functionality.

It takes AA batteries. I installed these December of 2022 and only changed the batteries once and that was about Summer. Current battery level is about 60 percent.

Was waiting on a deal for the fingerprint version but haven't seen one. This maybe my best bet. Hmmm

Mine goes thru batteries like crazy and we rarely use it. They replaced it once already and new one still goes thru batteries in 2 months if that. My router is 20 feet away up high and no obstructions.

I have it for 3 months, relatively loud, after 3 months used battery shows 65%. But it's still working fine. The Interne time is not correct, on mine the new day started after 7pm. Customer service couldn't fix the issue. It connects only to 2.4 ghz wifi.

anything wifi will go through batteries very quick. your best best for longer duration is either bluetooth or other radio protocols.

maybe they gotten better. have the older gens and they killed them fast. Had mine on the front door and had to take it out, real annoying to can get into your home when you want to use it.

I've had this since I moved to my place in late 2020. No problems whatsoever, tempted to buy another one for my back door.

Terrible, I have three; regret it. Going to return later. Battery last about a month with 5x week. About two without any use.

This one and the zwave version are both loud. Good thing is I can hear when it's activated... I had this wifi version and replaced it with the zwave version. Battery life obviously depends on usage, but the wifi version lasted about half the time of my current zwave version.

This lock's battery is horrible, changed battery twice within 3 months. When battery reaches 30, it only lasts over night for me with brand new lock. Also, if you have Xfinity router, don't buy this lock. Xfi routers are known for not compatible with this lock. Better buy a Schlage one.

I feel like most of the negative reviews are just user errors. (like not installing the hardware properly, or being too tech illiterate to use the app). I bought mine back in 2021 and it just works. Easily the best investment I've made in my house.

As for the batteries, compared to other smart locks, they are kind of worse, but that not that bad. I use 4 eneloops, and they last about 4-5 months.
