My babies would have every kid on the beach throw their balls in the water until they quite literally dropped from heat stroke. So, a temporary time out spot is a must.
Since every ball is expected to be flung as far into the waves as possible, that means somewhere to fully(!) shake out & drip off away from everyone & everything. A space that's stationary in the ocean breeze & offers enough shade to keep them cool while they're kept out of the water. Someplace where they know they can find a fresh water dish without sand blown & kicked into it & a fair chance at staying upright.
The pups are well worth a minute to pound a couple of sticks into the ground. So for what we need, the tent idea sounds like an excellent solution.
