How are people getting it ordered online for pickup? Every store near me is OOS (they probably reserved stock for in store).

I got one at the store! I didn't get the online pickup option, every store near me shows limited stock, so I tried my luck at the store closest to me. I got in the "line", if you can call it that, there were only 10 people there, around 5:30 at the downtown Brooklyn store. I went straight to the PS5 when I got in. I had to ask the employee at the kiosk to get it because they don't put them on the shelf.

Looks like GS still has it for $450 as a 'consolation' prize. Or could just get an Xbox with Diablo IV for $25 more than this deal after GC and have access to the incredible Game Pass sub. . .

Right. And while I imagine many Slickdeals members have Amex, I don't know anyone personally who does. I understand it's not some unicorn, could easily go get one, but if you don't have an Amex, hell, even if you do, that doesn't mean this isn't still an excellent deal.
