Just got the last one at my store that said limited stock before I arrived. Luckyyyy! Guy right behind me was out of luck unfortunately. I got the disc model cfi-1215a.

I bought mine at 3:03AM and it just got completed in store like half an hour ago. So if you are in limbo, they might still be working on it. I went in to get it and the front of store desk people looked like they just did a tour of duty in 'Nam.

While I do agree that usually for all console manufacturers, it's better to wait for the 1st/2nd hardware revision, however for Sony's, PS5 has been built like a tank.

The new "slim" model while does offer slight improvements like weight reduction and a more efficient chip, the fact is that it the original "phat" PS5 has beast like cooling and well the tech inside it is still OP. For 350 or 400 or 500, the technology in it is well worth the investment. Sony also made the system be always running at a certain performance so that means the fans will always run at a certain speed. This isn't like past gens where as the console got older, the fans got louder. Usually in those systems, fans needed to ramp up and down the fans and as they got older, fans remained running on the high settings thus sounding like jet engines. Hell I have my launch PS5 I play daily and system sounds and plays the same as the day I got it.

Anyways enough rambling. Congrats to those to just bought one of the best deals in a long time. This is a steal for sure.

similar happen with me. Old lady was there first asking for one, then I asked for one and got the last one. Guess I was faster on the draw or got lucky with an employee who was quicker.
