Each store will only have 5. Gonna have to fight others if you want one because Black Friday ain't Black Friday if you don't get into a scuffle with someone.

Wow is this a door buster? Don't think I've seen a new ps5 this low. Bet it won't actually be in stock anywhere …

I got lucky cause I walked in to my nearest Target in CA after 6 am PST and asked about it and was told that they were all sold out. While I was in line for something else the same lady that was helping me walked up and said she found one in that back. I'm stoked because I honestly wasn't expecting anything.

Debatable whether the PS5slim actually has a smaller heatsink compared to the 1200.

https://imgur.com/a/tsvkoY7

What's clear is the heatpipe count went down by 1 but no one has measured it or weighed it yet

Seen a lot of comments on Twitter and Reddit that those who ordered at 3AM got their orders cancelled as they wanted to prioritize the people that got to the store first. That's not okay, but given the low quantity I'm not surprised they did that.
This is the opposite of what I found. Went to the store at 6 AM said they had them in the back but holding for online orders. I went to the front and said I placed a online order for one and they said all orders were complete ready to pick up at 4 am so if I didn't get a email then I do not get one. I went back to electronics and said they told me all orders were complete so the ones in the back should be for sale and they said sorry not going to happen.

Plenty at my Target. Used Microsoft Rewards points on 3 $100 Target gift cards. With tax, only $82 out of pocket for me.
What location? Everywhere is sold out near me.

Regular: Slim 1TB. Do you honestly feel it still a good deal at $199.99 these days? Adjusted to 2019 inflation, it equates to $150 in today $.

Maybe I should not get the PS5 given the extra $200 difference which is a lot. Idk but I'm torned
You're an idiot.

YMMV. For those with Amex cards, check if you have $120 off $599 Dell offer. If yes, order the Slim, another controller, and small filler (like Doom64 for $5, that I'll never use) to reach $600 after taxes.

With $120 off $599 offer, plus 3% Amex cashback, plus 15% CB, if I sell the extra controller for $40, it is cheaper than this Target offer. And the PS5 at Dell is the new Slim model with disc drive and comes with Spiderman 2!
Thanks for the update. I went with the Dell offer instead, so I don't have to go in-store to the Target to make my purchase. The Dell offer is actually better as some folks have pointed out. Some quick math here since I need to purchase all of these things:

Deal 1 (This Target Deal):
PS5 Slim Edition: $350
Controller: $50
Spiderman PS5 Game: $70
Wireless Charging Station: $30
Total Cost = $350 + $50 + $70 + $30 = $500

Deal 2 (AMEX Dell Deal for $120 off $600):
PS5 Slim Edition: $500
Controller: $50
Spiderman PS5 Game: $0 (since it comes with the bundle)
Wireless Charging Station: $30
Discount: $120
Total Cost = $500 + $50 + $30 - $120 = $460

I didn't take into consideration the credit card savings from using an AMEX Card since if you're a Target credit card (RedCard) holder, you get 5% back from there too. I simply wanted to ballpark if the savings were comparable and it turns out the Dell option was better.

The great thing with Dell is that you don't have to get a 2nd controller or wireless charging station. You can get anything on their website. They sell docking stations, mouses, keyboards, headphones, printers, laptop cases, usb drives, etc.

Comparing the two deals:
Deal 1: $500
Deal 2: $460

Deal 1 allows you to choose specific accessories and games for an additional cost but requires you to go in-store with limited quantity. Deal 2 requires you to have an AMEX card to redeem the offer. You also don't need to go in-store to buy everything.

Conclusion: Go with the AMEX Dell option.

Deal 1 (This Target Deal):
PS5 Slim Edition: $350
Controller: $50
Spiderman PS5 Game: $70
Wireless Charging Station: $30

Controller: $50
Spiderman PS5 Game: $70
Wireless Charging Station: $30
Discount: $120
Total Cost = $500 + $50 + $70 + $30 - $120 = $530

I didn't take into consideration the credit card savings from using an AMEX Card since if you're a Target credit card (RedCard) holder, you get 5% back from there too. I simply wanted to ballpark if the savings were comparable, and it is.

The cool thing with Dell is that it you don't have to get a 2nd controller, you can get anything on their website. They sell docking stations, mouses, keyboards, headphones, printers, etc.

Comparing the two deals:
Deal 1: $500
Deal 2: $530

Both deals end up costing a very similar amount. Deal 1 allows you to choose specific accessories and games for an additional cost but requires you to go in-store with limited quantity. Deal 2 requires you to have an AMEX card to redeem the offer. You also don't need to go in-store to buy everything.
Deal 2 should be better since Spider man game is included in Ps5 slim edition so -70.

This deal is not slim version, but disc. Does it trump numbers?

My apologies, I forgot the Target deal was for the disc version. Dell doesn't have the disc version on sale on their website as of today (11/24/2023). Maybe you can check back later? The AMEX offer doesn't expire until 01/31/24.
