A membership at a place with golf simulator time (e.g., daily 90min sessions) is about $300/month in a busy part of NYC. So like, over 5 years of member dues to break even.
Meanwhile a gym membership is about $120/month. Assuming mainly weight training, a good rack, bench, and full plate/dumbbell set from a name brand looked to be about $4500. Obviously lots of other variables at play, but the idea of an at-home golf simulator sure seems bougie.
