We have had this since July when it went on sale for $1999.
The biggest convenience is now we can start the laundry and go to bed, without ever having to flip to the dryer or forget it and have to rewash it the next day.
The second thing is that we can wash 30+ loads of laundry before having to refill the detergent, softener and such.
And finally, we have a house that only has 100amp breaker panel. This greatly reduces the power usage. Also, no air vent! Air duct cleaning is a thing of the past.
The bad: clothes come out a little damp. You will get used to it though. It's not wet. Just feel damp and as soon as you take them out, they dry in minutes.
It also takes a while to do a load. Good thing you don't have to wait for it.
And finally, it washes less capacity than a typical washer dryer combo. If you load it up too full, it won't dry.

These are clearly the future and will only get better from here. The prices on these have dropped like crazy in the last year.

I've had one for about 4 months now. We LOVE it. No issues and runs on a 110. Drys so good we ended up saving close to 20 a month because our other dryer was so bad. The drying does take some getting used to. The clothes come out feeling damp but they're not. It's weird. Also you have to clean the lint filter a lot.

How long does a full load take? I have a stackable right now and I don't wash a ton, so a Euro dryer could work for me, but I would prefer to do more than one load a day.

So, I'm pretty used to the gas dryer... I have a plug for a dryer, but it isn't in use right now.

My question is: This runs on 110v... but I'm probably going to take it in the shorts in electric bill by switching back from gas to electric, right? I guess the pipedream is a two-in-one where the drying is gas driven. One can dream. ^_^
Are you planning on keeping your old washer and replacing this with the dryer. May be better to replace the washer with this. Uses the same 110v plug. You can either keep the gas dryer or get rid of it to save gas and space in your laundry area. Remember this is a washer and dryer. If you have the space, you can keep your old dryer in case you want to run multiple loads at the same time like with conventional washer/dryers (wash a load, transfer to dryer, start second load)..

Takes about 2 hours. You shove the clothes in, start the machine, keep checking the app to see if done, and go and remove the dry clothes 2 hours later. You can also load the clothes before going to bed, set the timer to start and have dry clothes when you wake up in the morning. The machine will allow you to pour a whole bottle of detergent in the dispenser and auto dispenses just the correct amount needed for each wash. Pretty convenient. Only downside is clothes do not feel as dry as in an electric or gas dryer, but they are mostly dry (sort of like if you line dry clothes). Would think this is more perception based on the dryness and warm clothes we are used to. Upside is less wear and tear on the clothes. You can even wash swimsuits and lycra, I would think, since there is not enough heat to shrink the clothes. That is just my guess though Smilie

Sadly we bought this in October at the $2800 price from The Depot. But, I love it so much I'm not even too upset about this price savings.

Can't you just have it shipped to you? This isn't an in-store deal only.

You can buy this and rerun to Homedepot since they have 90 days to return.

Do the clothes come out more wrinkly than a traditional washer/dryer?

No. Sometimes I have to dry like quilts and bedspreads more but it's awesome.

2 hours?!? That's practically how long a load takes me if I remember to switch from the washer to dryer at the exact moment the washer finishes.

Trying to convince my wife to let me get this, but she's concerned that with a family of 5 it will end up being a lot slower than a separate washer and dryer
