We have had this since July when it went on sale for $1999.
The biggest convenience is now we can start the laundry and go to bed, without ever having to flip to the dryer or forget it and have to rewash it the next day.
The second thing is that we can wash 30+ loads of laundry before having to refill the detergent, softener and such.
And finally, we have a house that only has 100amp breaker panel. This greatly reduces the power usage. Also, no air vent! Air duct cleaning is a thing of the past.
The bad: clothes come out a little damp. You will get used to it though. It's not wet. Just feel damp and as soon as you take them out, they dry in minutes.
It also takes a while to do a load. Good thing you don't have to wait for it.
And finally, it washes less capacity than a typical washer dryer combo. If you load it up too full, it won't dry.

These are clearly the future and will only get better from here. The prices on these have dropped like crazy in the last year.

I've had one for about 4 months now. We LOVE it. No issues and runs on a 110. Drys so good we ended up saving close to 20 a month because our other dryer was so bad. The drying does take some getting used to. The clothes come out feeling damp but they're not. It's weird. Also you have to clean the lint filter a lot.

I was considering this and the LG Wash tower with heat pump. Ended up going with LG ($1598+ Tax) since you get both washer and dryer so can do 2 loads consecutively. there's also a $250 rebate you can apply on top of this discount. https://www.lowes.com/pd/LG/5013918779

waiting for this to come down to 1500. State/local rebates also give $250 in CA.

Trying to convince my wife to let me get this, but she's concerned that with a family of 5 it will end up being a lot slower than a separate washer and dryer
We're thinking through the same thing. If you do a lot of loads on the same day then you effectively get a load finished every ~hour. But that depends on you being there when every load finishes to switch the clothes. We're thinking in practice the combo unit might work out about the same since you don't have to be there to move the clothes to the dryer.

LG has an all-in-one coming out next month that will do a load under 2 hours and will maintain the same form factor of a traditional front load washing machine.

Same form factor as in a lot bigger than this? These look interesting, but gads this thing seems tiny compared to our 7.5 cu ft dryer!

Paid $1,827.49 (includes $130-ish in tax).

It's larger than a standard washer and MUCH heavier. You can use a pedestal with this, but not a storage pedestal.
Square Trade policy does not cover "accumulation of any kind," so if the heat pump fails due to lint, you're SOL.
You have to set up the mobile app to update the machine. Yes, it receives firmware updates. It creates two connections to wifi.

I use this purely for white linens and towels for our airbnbs. It does a fantastic job of cleaning. I wish I could operate the machine remotely, but that's very limited. We run about 5 loads a week with this machine. It's convenient to leave the load in the machine and walk away or run other errands and not worry about needing to swap the laundry.

Although the machine reminds you to clean the filter every few cycles, we clean it after every cycle. And you may want to use a vacuum extension to carefully clean the heat pump fins / area.

This is false. Costco Logistics only delivers up to 50 miles from a warehouse. If you are outside that they will contract the delivery out to another company like RXO. Trust me I live two hours away from a Costco lol.

So, I'm pretty used to the gas dryer... I have a plug for a dryer, but it isn't in use right now.

My question is: This runs on 110v... but I'm probably going to take it in the shorts in electric bill by switching back from gas to electric, right? I guess the pipedream is a two-in-one where the drying is gas driven. One can dream. ^_^
The real question is if you use gas for anything else in your home? If so then keep the gas. You will be paying the monthly fees anyway. Now if the dryer is the only thing in your house that is gas then ditch it. You can cancel your gas bill entirely and all those bs service and connection fees they charge.

does this have a lint trap? i have a Samsung ventless w/d combo and i hate that it doesnt collect the lint.
It does have a big lint trap. One advantage over the conventional heat pump dryers that tend to clog up with lint.

From what I recall GE is no longer GE in the appliance market. They are now owned by your friends at the CCP.

this is correct

GE sold off its appliance division to Haier Group Corporation (a Chinese multinational)

still not convincing enough for me to ditch my laundry appliances.
2002 GE gas dryer which has only needed 1 belt and 1 top felt seal replaced in 21 yrs. and this was back when GE's appliance division was owned by GE, and not by the Chinese.
until last year we had a 1980's Maytag Commercial washing machine which over 30 yrs of ownership only needed a fill valve replaced. we replaced it with a Series80 direct drive Kenmore top loader.

the older the better when it comes to appliances.

i wouldn't touch any of this garbage
