I have the V3 version of this, if you're upgrading from a 27" this is great, lots of space and the bottom drawer holds a few blowmolded tool set cases that other boxes won't. Really like it!

I've been debating between this heavy duty Husky and HF US General series 3 42". This full size husky costs less vs the US General which is $599.99 for bottom cart and additional $449.99 for upper. However, the General seems to get more love in reviews.

What is the difference between versions? My local store had the v3 for $1200 and the v4 for $800 the other day. Other than perhaps nicer welds on the sides of the flip top, I couldn't tell any differences. Thanks.

The newer heavy duty tool chests from husky now uses 19ga steel instead of 18ga. I suspect that's the main difference between versions.
