I posted a similar build for AMD, and this a just as good option for intel users. I actually have this system at home for the last year minus the 7800 xt. Theres a 100 dollars off today, which may not be there tomorrow.

You can also upgrade to the 14700kf for 140.00, which is about the same performance and much less power than the 13900k.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if there would be a deal to compare with the (expired) $1900 BB I9-13900KF 2TB 64GB RAM 4070 ti 1000w PS deal pretty much a wash with matching specs (except RAM)

Well considering the 14700 is slightly faster than the 13900k in gaming (very slight), uses less power, and has almost exact productivity scores, this deal is much better imo. The 4070 ti is slighly faster than the 7800xt but 250-300 more? If ray tracing matters to you, it does a better job, but it does also have less VRAM. I'd say this deal beats it from a value proposition.

No question, that the 4070 ti drives the price up, that's why the BB deal was good. Without question, there are differing opinions and needs/desires.

Now, at about the same price of this build with 4070 ti, was the (expired) Dell Aurora with I9-14900 4080 64GB 2TB. It could be said that it was too much, but again, needs/desires

Using xmp they can get it up to 7200mhz I believe, or atleast 6200, which according to benchmarks actually runs better in games. I have this system with the ram, and when I benchmark my ram on userbenchmark against average joes and people who are actual overclockers and know what they are doing, the ram shipped from cyberpower clocked in at the upper 97%. Not bad.

Ya, np. Also don't forget the 5% off at the end with BLACKFRIDAY and if you have a chase card, another 5% paying through paypal. So possible 180.00 off with your desired specs. One thing I'd ad though, is get the High Power 850+ PSU instead of the stock, its a better PSU than a random brand. So 1564.00 before tax, roughly same machine. Honestly unless your made of money, dont spend an extra 435.00 on a 4070 ti, for approximately 5% more performance and 20-30% raytracing performance. But don't be fooled by the raytrace difference, at 1440p neither card can run decent RT numbers with the current most graphically intense games, so the RT advantage goes out the window. Atleast you have a Vram advantage with the cheaper card which could cost you 20-30% fps in a few years when titles are even more demanding.

Would you recommend this configuration for data analysis? Are there any swaps I should make if I'm using it for that purpose and not gaming? I have an Excel workbook that uses Power Query to process about 30 large csv files, around 400mb each. I know with files of this size there are better options than Power Query, but right now that is my only option. The workbook takes around 6-8 hours to run. I'm hoping a hardware upgrade will help the workbook performance.

I'm not an expert in that area, but to give you a little context, about a year ago the 13900k was the top dog in both non gaming and gaming. The 13600k which is this, is still very good, but if you want the best, upgrade this build I posted in the customization area to a 14700kf for 140.00 more, its identical to the 13900k, and uses less power. Its the only 14000 series worth upgrading to atm from what I've read.

Also the price your paying to go from 32->64 isn't worth it, your overpaying by almost 100.00. The blackfriday deal gives you an extra 16, so a total of 32, but when you go with 64, you lose the blackfriday savings on the ram, and pay full price on all of it. So if your thinking of 64, just get a identical stick online to stick in the machine, or just use 32 ram for a while, its currently about double what you need for gaming, and adequate for most other tasks, unless you like a graphic designer or modeler or something intensive like that.

Using the BlackFriday code is straight forward. How do I go about getting the other discounts by using a chase credit card and/or paying with paypal?

If you have a chase card, every 3 months there are a new set of deals you can activate directly on the card, you just log in and activate it online. Currently you get 5% back on purchases if you pay with paypal. What this means is you have to have a paypal and if you do, you link the chase card in paypal. Then if you want this computer, during checkout, you pay with paypal linked to the chase card and I believe select the card within paypal. Thats how I did it last year.

If you re-check my comment, I was referring to its website specifications ! NOT benchmark/xmp/over clock mobojombo! AND I' D STILL BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR !

Sorry, but some people will just NOT listen and continue to use gentle reasoning and logic to prove their point Big Grin Thank you and I'm reconfiguring Big Grin I had mentioned on a couple threads that the 64GB is easy to achieve later. That's why the BB PC is still in the box.
