I called the gift card customer support, the representative oversea first told me that promotion starts from 11/28 so I am not eligible, that's why I was charged for full price. I told him that the black Friday promotion on the website states valid from 11/24 to 11/27. After a few minutes on hold, he told me that when i use the card i will receive at Carls Jr store, I will receive item 50% off there. wtf. I told him just cancel my order and refund me. He said he could not cancel the order, the only thing he can do is create a ticket for his management team, my order cancellation still upon management approval.
What a mess.

12/22 - received email from buyatab that order shipped
12/30 - received 4 separate envelopes in mailbox. all 4 gcs had $0 balance.
Would never do another gc deal run by buyatab again. Probably won't go to Carl's again unless a desperate road trip pit stop.

[ A ] $0 card balance AND did not do a chargeback
or
[ B ] Card balance was the exact amount paid (no 50% off discount)
