As cute as this thing is, I'd rather have a separate battery and charger. Batteries degrade and die, then I'm tossing out a $100 battery and charger rather than a $20 battery. Plus seems heavy to depend on staying in an outlet.

Wait so it can only do 65w when plugged into a wall outlet? I'm confused what is meant by this. So say you have a power outage and want to connect this to an xps 15 9520 laptop... can you connect this already fully charged powerbank to the xps laptop or not? I'm confused what you mean with the wall outlet here.

Also people use this when there is already power outlet available? If so, why would they connect their phone to this if they can't just connect their iphone wall outlet and usb cable to it and charge it that way? I thought this powerbank was meant to be used when you have no access to an outlet to charge your phone or if there is a power outage?
Okay so maybe I should have been clearer because charge has dual meanings.

You can only get the full 65W when this device is connected to a wall outlet and is getting its juice from the outlet. And that is also only with 1 device connected. Otherwise you can only hit 45W if you have more than one thing connected.

When this thing operates as a battery, meaning it's not connected to a wall outlet, the max it'll get is 30W for 1 device, 15W for 2+ devices.

The point of this specific product is to be both a wall plug and battery all-in-one. There's obvious tradeoffs with a product like this. Yes you can bring extra wall warts to not have to rely on this to charge your other devices but you don't have to if you have this product.

If you're looking for a battery that can charge a laptop. You probably want the 737, which says it can charge a laptop at 140W if you have a cable that supports PD 3.1

Okay so based on what you said that you only get the full 65W if it's connected to a wall outlet and getting juice from the outlet, then this is completely useless then for a dell xps 15 then correct? Let say you have no access to an outlet or a power outage. Then this is useless for the xps? The anker 737 says it can charge a laptop to 140W but it's been mentioned any dell laptop when using a 3rd party charging cable is only capable of max 90W though. But I heard it can charge the dell xps 15 but it's slow charging.

However, that means very few laptops can use this anker 733 then to charge without access to an outlet or power outage then? Thus only laptops with low processors like u processors or chromebooks since they use 45w at the max?

These are only rated at 65w part-time. As soon as you unplug it from the wall to use it as a power bank, it's a 30w charger. Anyway, enjoy your charger.
oh well, i am not naive to use this as my primary charger. This is a powerbank for travel which will be used 2-3 times in a year. I will enjoy this charger where you can crib about paying $40 here to buy a simple item.

I just plug a power bank into the 12V outlet in my car, then run a USB cable from it to my device to charge it. If something ever gets low, I can just remove the power bank from the 12V and carry it around while it charges. $15 power bank and cables is all you really need for travel in most cases.

Anyway, hope it works out for you.

I could but i want a known brand. I could buy motorola or buy iphone 15 pro max because i want a known brand. Whats wrong in spending little more which will be reliable and has features. Politely, i dont understand so many arguments for not buying this product. Btw i have not carried around a powerbank for 5 years, now days we have power outlets everywhere. Now that i have a baby i want it for the portable fan and emergency power for the phone thats all.

I put my order in. But receipt didn't show $20 off. Went into HSN account and it didn't show the discount either. I cancelled it.

Weird.
Same for me

yes it'll only get 65W on the wall. while this is probably not for you, if you had this it could still technically charge your dell laptop, it just would not be as fast as dell's 130W charging.

this thing can probably power a macbook m2 air since those support as low as 30W (the base model of the air comes with the 30W brick). but yeah don't buy this for your dell.

Of course you can buy whatever you like. Personally, I would just go with a larger power bank. Additionally, if I needed more power, I would chain two of them to a 300W inverter. that plugs into the 12V, Then I would have extra 110V outlets, plus the USB power banks running..

Sorry I came off a bit hostile. I gotta learn to be nicer even if I'm having a bad day. I'm a huge Anker fan, and have been since long before they were known and popular so I get... defensive sometimes. Lately it's been harder to justify some of their prices, so I've been testing out other brands (Ugreen and JSAUX are decent alternatives).

A lot of their newest products have been geared more towards the Apple/Mac crowd who are used to spending a ton on stuff, so they know they can get away with it.
No reason to apologize, I have thick skin.

That actually makes a ton of sense. Didn't think of that. And yeah, I don't know how early I was to the Anker party, but I know I've been buying their stuff for about 8-10 years now. I have several of their Micro USB cables if it paints a better picture.

It means that I do not need to carry around my laptop's charging brick which is way larger and more cumbersome. I save space, carry less weight while I travel.
And this makes sense as well. I don't own a laptop, probably never will. I'm a desktop/phone guy. I forgot about those awkward chargers they all have, and agree this would be better. Thanks for another very valid viewpoint.

I think I started buying Anker stuff when I got my Galaxy S4 brand new... lol. My old Note 4 has an Anker battery in it, my bedside clock is a Soundcore Wakey, my work speaker is a Soundcore as are my earbuds and all my wireless chargers are Anker... I keep telling myself I'm gonna get a different/cheaper brand but the quality is never the same. And Customer Service has always been phenominal for me no matter my issue, which is a big part of consumerism a lot of people overlook.

Just want to point out I only saw 1 other product that plugs in, can charge 65w and is a battery bank. From somebody that set out for this, I'm certainly not complaining at this price.
