I have u75k coming. Ordered this but I am confused which one to keep. I saw reviews of both and also saw u7 and x90l in person. I felt blooming was bad on the Sony. Also checked Uniformity tests online and Sony looked bad. Again not sure how much it matters in real life. I know quality wise and processing wise no one can beat Sony. contrast looked better on hisense. Please help me decide 🙏

QQ: it says Android TV. I thought it was Google TV now??
Sony Google TV is my favorite native smart TV interface. So much better than God forsaken Tizen from Samsung...

This or the Hisense U7K? Same price for both
I absolutely love my 75 U7K, I've had it for about 10 days now and have been putting it through its paces, highly recommend. I can't speak on this Sony model but based on both of their Rtings scores, I can't imagine the average person would be disappointed with either.

Imagine image retention or being too dim unless you shell out big money for the high end models.

Dumb question but how close is this to a OLED quality?
It's a great set, I have an older model and a few oleds and you won't be disappointed.

Yes, so was I,

Have it in my cart, but cannot pull the trigger. After seeing the Uniformity tests below between this TV and the Hisense.

All the specs are great for the price. Not the best HDR but that is ok.

Problem is I like sports and DSE and sports do not mix.

There is Rting comparison between Hisense H8 and this one. The H8 is great (except for low content).

There is a comparison showing the color screens between each TV (goes though each color. And after going through those pictures, its pretty clear. Look at it when it shows the gray color.

Why the difference. Micro LED. The next revolution in TV. And hopefully the end to DSE.

Uniformity test. Note the corners for the Sony as well besides the banding in the gray and some other colors. And the two spots near the center middle. Distracting.

Whew. Bummer. Real Bummer.

Thank you for this. Uniformity is pretty bad on this model.

I have this TV in the same size. I bought back in june for 1500. It was worth every penny at that price. It is excellent for movies, youtube, and playstation 5. I recently bought the samsung s60b soundbar and it paired beautifully. what sold me on this tv is how they said the picture looks as good as a mini led tv even though it isnt.

I waited for a good deal and just couldn't spend the $800 more for the 65" C3. I hope this tv is as nice as Reddit comments say. Go Reddit! I'll leave a review after I get it.
I faced a similar choice a few years back with the Sony 900H and oled LG 65CX for around 500 more and kept the LG but these Sonys are really, really good. Great software and awesome pic quality. Have a smaller one in the bedroom and it's great. Helped my sis order one of these right now

I purchased the U75 from Costco and was wondering about this Sony set.

Even without longevity test, the U75 overall is stronger imo

Decided to cancel this and roll the dice with u75k. It has 3 years warranty so I guess I can take a chance. Plus saw a lot of reviews for x90j where it failed just outside of 1 year.

There are TV with high DSE and low DSE.

There are TV with high contrast and low contrast

and so forth.

I have a low DSE high contrast TV.
I once had a high DSE high contrast TV. That was returned for the one above.

DSE is ok so long as you do not watch sports and other panning TV over large single color areas (blue skies, football or soccer fields and worse is hockey games)

The Hisense U8 has very little if any DSE. Why. Microled. This model is not microled.

This is probably an overstatement. Main difference is brightness.

Yeah, rtings agrees with you, too. But debating if it's really worth another $600 for the 75" L model.
I'm totally biting next year on the L if prices drop like this.
