Offer Notes:
Your redemption code will be delivered as tracking number within a few business days. You will receive your serial number(s) to authorize and register your product as your tracking number.
You'll receive a redemption code (serial number, a 25-character, alphanumeric serial number for each program) allowing you to instantly download the program for your desktop or laptop device. Requires a PC or laptop computer. Not compatible with iOS (iPad, iPhone), Android (tablets) or Chromebook devices. Internet connection required for online activation.
If your setup meets the minimum hardware requirement to run Windows 11, you'll be eligible for a free upgrade.
They closed the free upgrade program technically many years ago. But there was a loophole. However that was blocked as of about a month and a half ago.
Microsoft explicitly states in their T&Cs that genuine keys are not distributed via retail channels (Woot) without a box/packaging.
In other words, the fact that Woot is emailing you a code means it's not genuine. Sure, it may work, but it's the same as those $3 codes you get on eBay. Gray market and/or enterprises licenses being distributed outside Microsoft's T&Cs.
Can't believe this thing is FP.
Per Microsoft's own site/language, they only sell/distribute retail licenses as a USB stick, with retail boxed packaging and a COA.
With the exception of Product Key Cards (PKC's) distributed with COA's, Microsoft does not distribute products keys as standalone products. If you see a listing on an auction site, online classified ad, or other online page advertising product keys for sale, it's a good indication that the keys are likely stolen or counterfeit. If you were to purchase and use a stolen or counterfeit product key to activate Windows installed on your PC, the key may not work for activation, may already be in use on another PC, or it might be blocked from use later by Microsoft when the key is reported stolen. The best way to get everything you expect up front is to buy genuine Microsoft software preinstalled on a new PC or genuine Microsoft software from an authorized reseller.

Make sure that your computer is compatible with windows 11. Not all are. They require fairly new CPUs without making a custom ISO yourself to get around this. Check the requirements to verify just to be safe if you are not super tech savy. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ifications
So....honestly, who knows if it's legit. Amazon sells so many counterfeits knowingly and willingly, because they choose to commingle inventory from third-party vendors instead of separating it. Less profit to be had that way.
Is there a reason to go to win11 now? i downgraded last year, because the ui changes frustrated me
not until they sunset it by Oct 2025 - discontinuing security updates.
there are many websites that discuss how to win10 gui your win11.
even though win11 seemed an incremental update, they made kernel
changes to increase security in coordination with new cpu silicon tools.
i have an 8yo gaming pc so my cpu is not win11 compatible,
then i'll have to save up so by 2026 to then buy a whole new rig
just to maintain security update parity. i miss the good old days
when some killer app provoked you to upgrade, not this war like
arms race between nefarious actors and os/cpu/pc designers.
All windows 7,8,10 keys can be used in fresh install of or upgrade to Windows 11 (to corresponding versions)
Hardware requirements boil down to 2 things I think: tpm 2.0 which is embedded in newer motherboard and CPU being newer than core i 8th gen for Intel, not sure about AMD
Windows 11 interface and performance are amazing y'all should do a fresh install if your machine supports
Basically if you bought a cpu in 2018 that was Intel 8th gen or Ryzen 2000 series you're more than likely able to run Windows 11. It is more secure even from the boot up sequence. Windows 11 has been adding features for a year now. I'm a fan of the higher polling rate support for gaming peripherals. Not sure if Win 10 received that update or not.
