I have a pair and these sound amazing if you have a Qualcomm chipset that supports Aptx Adaptive, otherwise will sound pretty mediocre when used with regular Aptx. This rules out pretty much any Samsung, Google or Apple phone if you want the best sound quality. If you have a supported phone though this is an excellent price.

Holy crap this is an amazing deal. Like the chap above said, they sound phenomenal. I use them on the iPhone and really shine using Apple Music. These are probably the best sounding wireless buds you can buy.

Recommend purchasing comply tips to accompany these.

Also, these are amazing as earplugs for concerts using the transparency feature.

This is true but no way it sounds just mediocre with AptX. Most people are not going to notice any difference especially streaming Spotify. It still sounds better than Sony XM or EarPods if listening to music is your top priority.

Bunch of complaints from folks on Reddit on a high pitching sound in the left earbud, battery drain and return process.

Good price but ive seen nothing but complaints about the various generations of MTW buds for a while now. I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on these

I can attest to this. These sound amazing and are great when they work properly. But just two days ago the left earbud decided to go out and I get the ringing and lower sound quality. I plan to turn it in for repairs, but if the second pair malfunctions as well I would look for a different pair of earbuds.

Go check the myriad of problems people have had with these... only a few months' use. Many people also report having had multiple replacements do the same in a similar time frame. If getting, then make sure you get the best and longest warranty because they are primed to fail.

Imo these are the absolute best sounding true wireless and this is an amazing price. Good chance you will have to use the warranty I have 3-4 times over 3 generations. Still worth it if main goal is best audio quality good seal i mainly use for working out.

Android user. I have these and the Sony wf1000xm5, plus Galaxy Buds, Plantronics Voyager, some others. I have mine for work calls over Teams primarily, so I need good ANC and microphone in case I'm out doing something (team is remote so could get a call any time). I also do music/podcasts while jogging, Spotify during the workday, telephone sometimes. I tend to use one or the other earbud if it's not too noisy around.

- Outgoing noise cancellation is fine on all, only complaint was the Sony before I realized you couldn't solo an earbud.

- Sony and these have better ANC and environmental sound settings in my opinion.

- The Sonys sound better at the low end, these are fine but less bass. Samsung was about the same, Plantronics isn't really about that. My ears are probably not the best judge of audio quality generally.

- The Sony you have to use both earbuds all the time. These and Samsung you can use either or both. Plantronics only has the one so...

- Sonys are twice as big, I find these and Samsung comfortable to wear longer. That said my kids hate all in-ears, it certainly takes some getting used to.

- Sony, Plantronics, and these have multipoint, Samsung does not, so I can have my phone going and quickly switch to Teams on the computer when someone calls.

I carry these every day, use them probably an hour or two per day. I got the hum last month in the left, 11 months of use but refurbished so no more warranty. I was able to fix it by taking all the covers off and cleaning out the ear wax with a pin, though I'm sure eventually it will work in to somewhere I can't reach.

I ordered a new set for the warranty, of the options I've found I think these are the best ones for my everyday use case. The tone problem is annoying but I can live with it as an occasional problem. I went through my Plantronics Voyagers about once a year too, when one of the noise cancellation mics would plug up and far-end call quality would drop off. Samsung went through the wash, Sony I haven't used enough to say anything about longevity - got them at the same time as these.

Mediocre might be a bit too strong but they definitely sound better on Adaptive, I've tested it and can absolutely tell the difference even with Spotify. You can get a dongle that supports Adaptive like the BTD 600 [amazon.com] but that may or may not work with most phones.

I'm really hoping we get more support for open codecs like LC3 to end this proprietary Qualcomm nonsense.

The price is good but I will take the pixel buds over this. They are easier to use and the transparency mode mixes in audio and outside noise in such a way you can hear both clearly. It was a game changer once I tried it. I had the TW2 and they were "clunky" despite sounding good and the transparency mode being crystal clear (but you cannot play music at the same time on the sennys unless that is changed).

My take is Google or Apple will give you a better experience and buds in general are a convenience item. None of the buds will sound better than good wired set. Sometimes I still walk out the door with a portable DAC and IEMs, and at home I have the 6xx and xm3. If you are looking at sennheiser, you probably want the best sound quality. I say, sacrifice a little bit there and get much more "fun to use" headphones from a software company. The buds pro sound good and are flat. They don't have the sennheiser magic, but the TW2 didn't really either, and I doubt that changed in 1 gen. You are paying a large % towards the battery and ergonomics anyways so don't forget about the overall picture. Its not just which wireless buds sound the best, wired headphones still exist and will sound better at the same price. If you want convenient fun wireless buds, get the convenient and fun ones.
