I'd stay away from ChargePoint right now as they are teetering on the edge of bankruptcy
Yeah, bankruptcy is something that may be in the horizon, but that doesn't mean that it will happen. Even if it does, most companies rarely close after filing. To balance their sheets, they usually end up cutting costs, features on future releases, etc. If you are looking to buy one of their products, I would suggest to get them before the quality changes.
I don't see any reason to pay for this when the Emporia is $399 and girzzl-e is $350?
I agree with you. The grizzl-e does not qualify for the electric company rebate, but the Emporia does.
I wish I could get the Emporia for the sale price of $300 that was being sold a few days ago, but that's no longer available.
ChargePoint has been selling a quality product that has proven to work reliably for many years. Emporia looks like is also selling a quality product, but reliability will not be known for a while. Until then, spending an extra $100 feels like the better option.
Genuine question as I am new to ev. Why would someone buy these chargers if they have a 240 volt outlet and Tesla charger? Are these more powerful or have other benefits?

None unless using an adapter is not kosher.
