Vizio owner here, I bought the Vizio 55' inch MQ7 last Nov from Walmart during their BF sale for $299. It's actually my first QLED TV, the 27 dimming zones with up to 600 nit brightness really make it a great set for steaming Dolby Vision, HDR 10+ content on Netflix and Prime Video.
The V series is actually the worst of these 3. In terms of quality MQX > MQ7 > MQ6 > V series. With MQ6 you get QLED quantum colors but that set has no local dimming zones.
I also use the set for gaming on PS5 and love it! No problems with the TV set so far almost 1 year in!
Vizio has also rolled out a complete overhaul of its smart TV interface, and from what we've seen it both looks and works very much like one of the best streaming services, including Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV.
Hey guys! Trying to decide between a Range Rover and a Honda Civic. Can you help me decide?
I bought 3 Vizios back around the 2015-2018 period and only 1 of them is still functional. Other 2 died after only a few years. I'm on the no Vizio bandwagon now as well.

I went ahead and bought this one instead even though I didn't need it since it comes w/ 120Hz refresh rate (for gaming) and according to RTINGS.com, it was actually better than my current TV that I bought last year and at a lesser price, and it arrives on Tues.
In comparison to this Vizio TV, that TCL has a sustained brightness of 870, almost 4 times of the Vizio, meaning it is usable in bright rooms.
Jumped in to say my $800 Vizio from 2021 already died. Software update bricked it overnight and customer service told me to pound rocks since it's out of warranty.
Hard pass on any other Vizio products going forward.

y not file consumer complaint if their fw bricked the device? also is der no way to put older fw via thumb drive?
Thanks you guys. Now I'm trying to decide between OLED or QLED.
OLED seems to be the best interns of contrast giving better blacks. In terms of color gamut and vividness not sure which one of the two provides better performance. I'm just amazed out how expensive the OLED TVs still are. Not sure if the price difference is worth paying the extra money.
Just bought the Samsung S90C QD-OLED to replace a temperamental Hisense. Hopefully it lasts as long as my 8-year old Samsung 1080p.
I have this TV. Vizio keeps pushing firmware updates which change and break the way the software runs on it. Just last night (Nov 29th at 2am) my tv updated. Now I am not able to use the channel up and down arrows.

I've owned a half dozen different Vizio's since 2005. Haven't had one fail on me. Recent one was a 2019 M series used several hours daily, still being used today. I think all brands have their moments.

I've heard way more negative things about them recently than in the past.

I heard negative things about all the brand's, best buy reviews be 1star for stupid reasons. Everywhere else is whining about how there tv died in a year or 2 or some other crap happened. Dont get hisense, dont get visio, dont get TCL, mean while other say the same thing about Sony etc which suppose to be better quality and reliable. Any tech can die at any time its also luck of the draw. Don't believe everything you read from people on the internet
