Denon, it's has full preout for upgradablity. If that's now what you want then not that.
The other problem here is that the license follows the unit. If your unit breaks and if you need to replace it or get a replacement under warranty you have to purchase all the licenses again.
Now if you sell the unit they do allow transferring the license to the new owner but I doubt how much value you will get the secondary market.
Just things to be aware of.
You have people saying Dirac is magic, head and shoulders better than all others, all professionals/experts agree.
Then you have people complaining $244 is not worth it!
You know you can just get an Onkyo or Pioneer for less that includes Dirac.

Just things to be aware of.
Pretty sure if the AVR needs to be repaired, they can restore your licenses after contacting customer service. No one is expecting to buy all those software add-ons again.

And the point is that Dirac will probably make it right for you if it is replaced. They aren't going to give you a free license if you get two, but if it's replaced entirely for a mechanical issue with a different serial number? With proof, I think they would.
