Be careful about what you pick if you're a member. They are now offering 5 credits for 55.99 (11.20 each) if your not a member, you might want to consider. You can endlessly buy credits at this pricewhen you run out and it's actually been better than the free promos and discounted annual prices they had in the past.

Personally, I've always found a series to binge and even if they do "expire" you chat with CS and they will give them back to you to use.

Coupled with the seemingly non stop 2 for 1 credit sales, this brings it down to 5.10 a book. Buying it at cash price used to be about 15 each bc that's what the credits used to cost. Not many good books worth buying for less than 12 bucks, even on sale. Credits seem to be the way to go.

To whomever decided the sale banner should pop up on every single books page: I hope you get a strange and inconveniently placed rash.

Grabbed a couple dozen titles from Brandon Sanderson, Thomas Sowell, and others for less than $3 each, sometimes $2 a piece. Thanks OP!

I do the $99 for 12, but there's also the $75 for 12 that was recently FP. This brings the total to as low as $6.25 per book and ~$3 per book with your credits. So as a general rule of thumb, I pretty much stuck to any title that was less than $5. I'll save my credits in the hopes that the rest will be on sale during a 2 for 1.

SPOTIFY PREMIUM has free audio books.. Good BYE AUDIBLE.. monopolistic piece of asdf. Credits expire(for which one pays money) thats the most ridiculous things ever.
SPOTIFY PREMIUM only allows 15 hours of book listening a month. Unused hours expire. There have been weekends when I listen to more than 15 hours on Chirp.

Seriously. When I heard that they had free audiobooks I got pretty excited. Once I learned it was for 15 hours of listening, I haven't even bothered. For very casual listeners, that could work though.

this 85% off sale is pretty good if you just got the $5.95/month with the $20 coupon. i just picked up 7 titles using $18.62 of the $20 coupon and i still have my credit for the month

I usually give up after a few minutes given the way Audible designs its search/filter/sort feature.

Whooo just rounded out some of my collections. I save my credits and often purchase books via KU and Whispersync too. Got most of my books today under $5. 👍

I did not even know but will add this to list: first check Libby, then check Spotify before buying a book on Audible. So many books I got I did not even read yet.

Expeditionary Force (narrated by R.C. Bray) - first 4 books in particular are great
Mistborn Trilogy
Currently going through the Chronicles of Naria Complete Audio collection - 1 credit for all 7 books
Lord of the Rings Trilogy narrated by Gollum
Ready Player One (way better than the movie)

A paid membership can hardly be considered "free". Spotify sells audiobooks just like Amazon. The 15 hours/month with the paid membership doesn't even cover a single book in many cases.
