FYI, "Game Pass Core" is more or less the new name for "Xbox Live Gold".

From what I understand you can buy now and just wait until your ultimate expires and then put your 3 years in and convert.

I'd personally wait until getting close to expiration, it's usually pretty easy to find deals like this.

Buying a code from Eneba was an alternative to the 14 day trial. Only buy the month from Eneba if you can't get the 14 day trial/already used it up.

I cancelled my sub. Then I entered in my cards. It let me convert them to ultimate as described in OP by starting a new sub with $1 trial.

It should have said Game Pass Core instead of Xbox Live Gold, but the 3:1 ratio is the important part.

Unless you can pause your membership at any time, 24 months duration may not be worth it. I can hardly find any game that's worth using Game Pass for even an entire month XD

So this was interesting since my ultimate expired last week. I actually bought only 2 of these target cards cuz I didnt wanna spend any more. I got the 24 months of core. I signed up for the trial thing, which didnt even charge me $1. It basically upgraded me for 18 months now of ultimate. I didnt even have to complete step #7 since I never got any sort of code to put in. I have no clue what step #7 even does.

So ya... it seems way easier than what's listed in OP thread

When I tried to enter my 3rd code I got this: "You've reached the limit of how far you can extend a subscription. Try again later at a later date."

What do I need to do?

Did you have an active subscription already on the account? I believe you can't add more than 36 months of Core, that's why it says to make sure your sub is expired when doing this.

Looks like my basic gold (or whatever they call it now) expires 11/30. So should I be able to add that last code then and do the Ultimate conversion?
