Based on my cursory understanding of GE Cync. Please let me know if I got it wrong!
'Direct Connect' means the two devices can directly communicate with each other, without a hub or router (e.g Bluetooth or Ad Hoc WLAN).

I already have govee delivered yesterday but not sure which one to choose? G E is there in market for long time
Responses in the Q&A section on Amazon from GE also say things like "You can connect up to 32 feet of our extensions so 7 of our 40 inch strips can connect to 1 of our 80 inch strips."
The power supply is permanently connected to the 80" strip so you can't really use those to extend another 80" strip.
About 15 of the 30 BR30 lights I bought were complete junk. They needed constant reconnecting through the app. Ended up tossing them all. Fortunately, they came on a great deal but still a total waste of time and money.
There's no remote ???

So I checked back. Allowed me to add 1 to cart a minute ago. I tried to add another and got an error of max being 1... tried to check out... dead. I guess I'll keep trying tonight...
Was able to grab 1. Tried to get another and it went OoS/Unavailable again. Still going to keep trying to get the three. 😪
