We have one that is very similar to the Savannah. At $40 it's a good price. I had to bust out the wood glue for a couple spots that didn't stay together on the staircase but otherwise it's held up very well and looks nice compared to all the plastic Barbie houses.

Depends on the kids, my daughter has played with this exact dollhouse (Savannah) from 2 years old all the way up until she was 9.

I bought one similar to Savannah last year.
The main issue is the back plate. I did the quick measuring on the one we have, it is 41" x 32". if your luggage can fit it in, the rest would be easy.

Keep in mind that this is heavy, like 30 lb?

I ordered my daughter a Barbie Dream House. The Grand View Mansion looks like it's better quality (wood vs plastic) and it's bigger.

Is a 5 year old going to be mad at her dad for switching it up on her. The Barbie one looks so cheap even though it cost so much more.

My daughter has had the elevator dollhouse for about 3 years now and plays with it almost daily.

It's not the highest quality but it has held up and she loves it.
